LIFE-LONG RESIDENT DIES
MISS LUTIE BLACK, 70, SUCCUMBS IN TEXAS

Body Will Be Brought To Carthage;
Services Here To Be Tomorrow Afternoon


Miss Lutie Black, about 70, virtually a life-long resident of Carthage, passed away at the home of a sister, Mrs. Mabel Oliver at Aransas Pass, Texas, according to word received today by another sister Mrs. Frances Buckingham of Oronogo.

Miss Black had been in ill health the last five years and virtually all of that time she had been with the sister in Texas. She was born at the southeast edge of Carthage and was a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. J. E. Black. She is also survived by a brother, Rolland Black of Ingleside, Texas.

Funeral services were held in Aransas Pass after which the body was sent to Carthage and a brief graveside service was conducted at Park Cemetery under the direction of Knell Mortuary.
Miss Maye Parker, former pastor of the Oronogo Methodist Church officiated.
