The Parents of this Amanda are not John W. Terry and Susannah Greenway. Some of their children moved to Anderson from Elbert Ga. and married into the Wells Family. ( These people are the parents of Amanda E. Terry who married Thomas Well's son who is also named Thomas Wells born about 1845.)
Susannah Caroline Greenway was born in 1820 and John W. Terry in 1818 and Amanda was born in 1811. Amanda could be the sister, aunt or cousin of John W. Terry, not his daughter

Elijah M. Lindsey, John B. and Memphis Terry were all in Anderson in 1910. Posted by S. Rogers and Sammy Gorman who says John B. Terry born 1845-1918, is his Greatgrandfather

Amanda must have died between the 1860 and 1870 census.

Some researchers say her maiden name was Johnson? I believe her mother whoever she is may have remarried a Johnson.

There is a picture on ancestry.com of a Amanda Johnson Terry born 1817 Laurens SC, she was an only child, she married a Thomas Wells in 1832 SC, she died in 1870 Anderson SC @ 53yrs., She had 16 children in 25yrs. I have a picture of her in my computer files.
I also read somewhere in Sammy Gorman records that a Thomas Well married a Amanda Terry in 1836 Anderson SC.
