BLUE MOUNTAIN~~~~~Abraham "Ned" Waldrop, 64, died Thursday, Jan. 27, 2011, at his home. He was born Sept. 17, 1946, in Tippah County to Esau Waldrop and Pearlena Knox Waldrop. He graduated from Line Consolidated School in Ripley. He was a member of Antioch Church and served on the Usher Board. He enjoyed working in his rose garden, flowers, fishing and hunting.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Antioch M.B. Church in Blue Mountain with the Rev. H.G. Evans officiating. Burial will be in the Academy Cemetery. Serenity Funeral Home of New Albany is in charge of the arrangements.

Survivors include three sisters, Annie Mae Cockrell and Ophelia Judon, both of Blue Mountain, and Mary Ann (Roosevelt Jr.) Gray of Ripley; nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 1 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home. The body will be placed in the church at 1 p.m. Saturday.
