A son of Clarence Alford "CA" Nelson & Lizzie Belle (Decker) Nelson. He was a US Navy veteran. He married (1)DeVonna Louise Swartz March 22, 1942 at Yuma, Arizona. He married (2) Rosalie V Benton August 13, 1982 at Rockwall, Dallas County Texas. She preceded him in death. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II, was awarded a Purple Heart. He retired from the pharmaceutical industry.
