Wandalene NELSON BOUSTEAD, of Leesburg, TX, passed on to her heavenly home, February 28, 2016, at an assisted living facility in Weatherford, surrounded by her loving family. She had been in declining health for the past year. A visitation will be held from 6 to 8 Thursday (Mar 3rd) at Galbreaith-Pickard Funeral Chapel, 913 North Elm Street, Weatherford, TX. A closed casket graveside service will be Friday (Mar 4th) in Moore Memorial Gardens, Arlington, 10 a.m.... A memorial service will be at a later date at Piney Grove Baptist Church in Leesburg..
Wanda was born March 13, 1927 in Leesburg, a daughter of Clarence Alford ‘CA’ and Lizzie Belle (Decker) Nelson. She married Glenn Redmond Boustead June 30, 1946 at Grand Prairie, Texas. He died in 1998.
Surviving are Glenn and Wanda’s two daughters; Glenda K (Bill) Robinson, Lancaster, TX and Donna G Freeman, Weatherford, TX: two granddaughters; Amy (Tom) Hensley of Frederick, OK and Crystal (Jake) Edwards, Weatherford. Also surviving are two granddaughters, Crystal (Jake) Edwards, Weatherford and Delayna Hensley, Edmond, OK; and one sister Bettie Smith of Irving, TX.
Wanda was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Glenn, and a brother, Everett Earl Nelson.
She was a member of the Piney Grove Baptist Church in Leesburg for many years
Wanda loved her garden and fishing in nearby lake Elwood. She loved being around people and helping them in their time of need, but most of all she loved her family and friends.
