Mrs. Florence Young, of 1102 E. Virginia Street , died in Welborn Baptist Hospital at 5 p.m. yesterday. She was 78.
Mrs. Young, an Evansville native, was the widow of Alvah Young, former Servel foreman who died in 1954. She attended the Evansville Rescue Mission. Surviving are a foster son; Edward Carney, Evansville; brother, John T. DeWeese. Gonzales, Tex.; sisters, Mrs. Mary Idola Hewins and Mrs. Laura Crowe, both of Evansville, and Mrs. Josephine McReynolds, Ft. Branch; nieces and nephews.
The body will be in Johann Funeral Home after 6 p.m. today.
