James French Jr and Hannah Russell had the following children: Isaac L French, Hannah French, Sarah Sally French, James French, Jonathan Brooks Samuel French, Betsey Hale French, Edward Jewett French, Nancy French, and Mahala French.

James French Jr and Olive Sawyer were married on 12 Jul 1809 in Rindge, Cheshire, New Hampshire.

James French Jr and Olive Sawyer had the following children: Francis Sawyer French, Olive Sawyer French, and Asa Milton French

1. James resided - 1775 in Hollis, Hillsborough County, New Hampshire. He resided 1775 - 1782 in Jaffrey,
Chesire County, New Hampshire.
2. He served in the military 9 Jul 1779 - 15 Jan 1780. He resided 1782 - 1809 in Rindge Twp, Cheshire County,
New Hampshire. He resided about 1789/1794 in Jaffrey, Chesire County, New Hampshire. He resided 1809 - 1822
in Fish St. Boscawen, Merrimack County, New Hampshire. He was employed as Basketmaker.
3. Military Service: at age 14 served in Revolutionary War from Jaffrey; wounded at Bunker Hill 17 Jun 1775 (from
gravestone); was 1 of 16 men raised out of Col Enoch HALE's Regt.;enlisted 9 Jul 1779 to serve 6 months under
Col Hercules MOONEY in Rhode Island; discharge 15 JAN 1780; service 6 months, 7 days
4. JAMES FRENCH, JR., son of James and Sarah (Brooks) French, lived in Jaffrey, where his first child was born;
removed to Rindge, and thence to Rockingham, Vt. In May 1789, he returned with his father's family to Jaffrey
where he remained until after 1794, when he too removed to Rindge. His final migration was to Boscawen, N. H.,
where his youngest two children were born. Like his father he served in the Revolution from Jaffrey. (Taken from
