Jessie MacLeod MacRae was born 16 April 1849 at Island Point, Boularderie, Cape Breton Nova Scotia. She was the daughter of John MacLeod and Christine Kennedy. She married Farquhar McRae. Note she used the Mac spelling for her name as did 5 of her children.Her children were: John Philip MacRae ; Jessie Anne MacRae ;Christine Mae MacRae Pearson; D. Roderick MacRae and Frank (Farquhar) MacRae. She moved to Saskatoon after her husbands death (1909) and remained there till her death.
