Early Settler Died in Oklahoma
Mrs. J. M. LINDSAY received word this morning of the death of her sister, Mrs. E. C. PEERY, which occurred last night at Chickasha, Oklahoma. The funeral was held this afternoon. Mrs. Peery was formerly a pioneer citizen of Gainesville, residing on Church Street many years. She was the widow of ELIJAH PEERY, well known early settler. She is survived by a son, TOM PEERY, two daughters, Mrs. J. H. HANCOCK of Paris, Texas, and Mrs. EUGENIA HARRISON of Alex, Okla., two sisters, Mrs. T. P. AIRHEART of Chickasha, Okla., and Mrs. J. M. LINDSAY of Gainesville.
