Mrs. J. M. LINDSAY
Mrs. J. M. LINDSAY, one of the pioneer citizens of Gainesville, and widow of the late Judge J. M. LINDSAY, died at her home on Lindsay St. this afternoon, following a severe illness of several months.

Wednesday, March 8, 1922
The funeral of Mrs. TENNIE BONNER LINDSAY, widow of the late judge J. M. LINDSAY, was held from the family home on Lindsay St., this afternoon with Rev. E. V. COLE of the Denton St. Methodist Church officiating. Interment in Fairview cemetery.

TENNNIE BONNER was born in Paris, Lamar County, Texas, Dec. 10, 1846, age 75 years old. She was a daughter of GEORGE M. and ELIZABETH BONNER. Moving to Cooke County when she was 14 years old, the family settled on land just south of the town of Lindsay.

At age of 25, she married J. M. Lindsay, at that time one of the promising young pioneers who later became Gainesville's most influential citizen, banker and property owner. To this union, two children were born, JIMMIE LINDSAY EMBRY and LEWIS B. LINDSAY, both surviving.

Active in club work, serving as president of the Cemetery Association, aided in organizing the Orphans Home here, members of the Daughters of the Confederacy and other organizations. Mrs. Lindsay was a devoted member of the Methodist Church.

She is survived by two children, Jimmie and Lewis, and a niece, Miss KATE LINDSAY of her immediate family; a sister Mrs. T. P. AIRHEART of Neosho, Missouri and numerous other relatives.

Pallbearers: BRIEN MCKENZIE, GILLIAM and WILLIAM BONNER, (nephews), ALEX SMITH, and dr. R. C. WHIDDON. G. J. Carroll made arrangements.
