CHIRI
Pete Chiri, retired coal miner of 45 years, was born to Peter and Mary Chiri at Iron Belt, Wis., June 7, 1896. He passed away March 30, 1971 at the age of 74 years, 9 months and 23 days. He had lived in Lucas County since 1914, a resident of Williamson for 43 years.
He was united in marriage to Elizabeth Martinache Nov. 15, 1924 and to this union 7 children were born. He leaves to mourn his death, his wife Elizabeth and children, Nadine Celander, Williamson; Mary Rose Kresnocky, Hobart, Ind.; Peter Jr., Williamson; Eldeen Little, Evansdale; Eugene Chiri, Williamson; Ronald Chiri, Williamson; and Sandra Nichols, Knoxville; 20 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
He also leaves 3 sisters, Leva Gedda of Gary, Ind.; Piriena Nicoletto of Des Moines; Mary Vernetti of St. Louis, Mo.; six nieces, one nephew and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters and three brothers.
Funeral services were conducted by Rev. Father C. J. Gaul at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, April 1, 1971 at the Beardsley-Fielding Funeral Home. Interment was at the Chariton Cemetery.
