Graveside services for John H. Perry, 72, of Colorado City were held Tuesday afternoon in Restland Cemetery in Olney with Keith Davidson, pastor at First Christian Church in Olney, officiating.

He died Friday, July 29,1994, in Colorado City.

Perry was born May 5, 1922, in Olney. He had lived at Lake Colorado City since 1975. He was a World War II veteran serving in the Army Air Corps, and was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars. Cpl. John H. Perry, son of Mr. and Mrs. E. E. Perry, Olney, husband of Velma Smith, Olney, attended Olney High. Entered AAC in 1942, trained at Sheppard Field. Served in Pacific. Awarded GC Medal, Philippin Invasion Ribbon and 3 Battle Stars. Discharged in 1945.

He was a retired plant operator for Phillips Oil Company. He was a member of First Christian Church.

Survivors include three daughters, Marsha Howton of McCamey, Brenda Schwab of Gaylord, Mich., and Jolene Jenson of Ann Arbor, Mich.; two sisters, Georgia Carr of Houston and Faye Tucker of Wichita Falls; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Arrangements were under the direction of Kiker-Seale Funeral Home of Colorado City.
