Mrs. Lulu E. York, wife of Melvin
York, died Monday, April 20,
1953 in the Wyoming County Com
munity Hospital in Warsaw. She
was 82 years old.
A resident of Bliss for over
43 years, she had resided in Castile
with her husband for the last
six years.
Her maiden name was Lulu E,
Pettee. She was born Sept. 17th,
1870, in the town of Pike, a daugh
ter of Nelson and Julia Burnellj
Pettee. In early life she married'
Melvin York. Mrs. York was a1
long-time member of the Bliss'
Methodist church. j
Surviving besides the husband,
arc two sons, Howard of Sonyea
and Nelson of Bliss; twd grandchildren
and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at
2:00 p. m. today in the Harmon
Funeral Home, Castile; with burial in Bliss. The Rev. Gomer Mills
of Sandusky officiating.
