Marlin graduated Harper High School, Hesston College and attended Bethel College.
After serving two years of selective service in Denver, Colorado, he returned to southern Kansas. He was employed two years as a production foreman for the Coleman CO. in Wichita. This was followed by 35 years of farming and related agri-business.
Other avocations included classical music. tennis, photography and computer applications.
Marlin became a member of Pleasant Valley Mennonite Church in 1958.
Marlin was preceded in life by his parents and infant brother David.
His survivors include, sister Shirley Kraun and husband Ben of Peoria, Ill, and family Kevin, Darren and Brian; sister Judy Houtz and husband Ken of Goshen, IN and family Debra and Jennifer and twin brother Merlin Unruh and wife Vesta of Greeley, CO and family Vanessa and Kirk.
