She was born September 30, 1937 in Harper, Kansas to Irven A. and Esther M. (Ramer) Unruh.
On April 13, 1968, she married Kenneth Houtz in Harper, Kansas.
Survivors include two daughters; Deb (James) Powell, Goshen, and Jenifer (Robert E.) Fake, Jonestown, Pennsylvania; two grandchildren, Michaela and Rosalinda Powell, Goshen and a sister Shirley Krahn, Elkhart.
Along with her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by three brothers; Merlin W., Marlin L. and infant David Unruh.
Judy attended Goshen College and Bethel College, Newton, Kansas. She worked as a secretary in the emergency room at Ephrata, Pennsylvania and MCC in Akron, Pennsylvania.
Family, especially her grandchildren, and other relationships were very important to her. She volunteered at Goshen Hospital as a Red Coat for 18 years and served on the Volunteer Auxiliary Board until November 7, 2022.
She was a member of Waterford Mennonite Church.
Visitation will be February 25, from 9:30 a.m. until the 11 a.m. memorial service at Waterford Mennonite Church. Pastor Cindy Voth will officiate.
Memorials May be directed to Goshen Home Care and Hospice.
