This cemetery is believed to be the location of the original Hickory Withe Presbyterian Church (log cabin), the second oldest Presbyterian Church in Tennessee. No headstone exists but it is most certain that Benjamin and wife Margaret are buried here. Both were charter members of Mount Pleasant Presbyterian Church and resided nearby until their passing.∼Son of James Starritt and Aagnes. Husband to Margaret Brown who was the daughter of Joseph Brown & Mary Porter; they married on 06-27-1788 in Guilford, North Carolina. Benjamin was born in Virginia and died in Fayette, Tn. Military Service: American Revolution-Lee's Legion-Dragoon.
