ROLLENHAGEN Dorothy Amend, passed away on Tuesday, January 25, 2011 at Robinson Terrace Nursing Home in Stamford, New York, at the age of 95. She was born in Highwood (now Tenafly), New Jersey on July 10, 1915 to Alice Howland and Adolph Amend. She was graduated from Dwight School for Girls in Englewood and the Scudder School in New York City.Mrs. Rollenhagen then worked for seven years for the Englewood Bank and Trust Company, where she met and later married Charles Albert Rollenhagen, then a national bank examiner. In 1943 they moved to Ridgewood, New Jersey, where they remained until their deaths. Mr. Rollenhagen and her youngest son Stephen Douglass Rollenhagen predeceased Mrs. Rollenhagen in 1998. Surviving her are one sister, Nancy Snyder; daughters Cynthia Osterweil and Nancy Engel; sons David and Norman Rollenhagen; four grandchildren and four great grandchildren. A funeral service will be held at 12:30 PM Thursday, February 3, 2011 at Rock Road Chapel in Berne, New York. Friends may call prior to the service from 11:30 AM-12:30 PM at the church. An interment will be held on Friday February 4, 2011 in Valleau Cemetery, Ridgewood, New Jersey.
