He married Priscilla Ledford on Sep. 14, 1889 in Cleveland County, North Carolina, and their marriage produced four daughters (Lusabel, Hettie Sue, Polly, and Jackie) and six sons (Roy, Mack, Dewey, Odell, Norris, and Woodrow). Their second oldest daughter, Hettie Sue Freeman Burgin Conley, was my great-grandmother.
