Bettye attended grade school and high school at Treadwell High in Memphis where she was May Queen, Football Queen and Miss Treadwell High. She was indeed a Memphis Blonde Blue eyed beauty queen and was the First Cotton Maid Entry in the 1947 Maid of Cotton contest, having been picked by "Bing Crosby" to be the First Cotton Maid Entry. Additionally, she was a cheer leader in High school as well as 2-years at Memphis State University. She moved to Tulsa in 1959. Bettye entered the Real Estate industry in 1972 with ERA Charles Welch Realtors. During her 35 years as a Real Estate professional she was a top producer each year.
