THE CLARION (PA) NEWS, April 22, 1982

Arthur R. Yingling, 83, of Centerville RD 4, a Clarion County native, died at 9:27 am Monday in Titusville Hospital.

Born November 11, 1898, in Perry Township, Clarion County, he was the son of James Burl and Mary Jane Thompson Yingling.

He was married June 9, 1921, in Clarion, to the former Bertrelle Elizabeth Rankin, who survives.

Mr. Yingling operated Knight's Creamery at Leatherwood from 1924 to 1935. He then moved to Titusville where he owned and operated Yingling Brothers Dairy until 1961 when he retired. He was a member of the First United Presbyterian Church.

Surviving in addition to his wife are a daughter, Mrs. Alfred (Lois) Sterling of Albuquerque, N.M.; two sons, Earl Yingling of Titusville and Glenn Yingling of Newark Valley, N.Y.; a sister, Mrs. Claude (Zora) Henry of Sligo; four brothers, Carl Yingling of Oseola, Clair Yingling of Rimersburg, Lloyd Yingling of Gibsonia and Homer Yingling of Mars; seven grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Preceding him in death were a brother, Richard Yingling, and a sister, Mrs. Ellen McCullough.

The Gordon B. Garrett Funeral Home in Titusville is in charge of arrangements.
