She was a native of Freemont, VA, but had lived in Johnson City most of her life before moving to Hendersonville in 1989.
Mrs. Brickey was a daughter of the late John G. and Nancy A. Sykes Kerr.
She was a member of Pinecrest Baptist Church, Johnson City.
Mrs. Brickey was preceded in death by her husband, Roy J. Brickey.
Survivors include one daughter, Jonnie Brickey Ruys, 2 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
