Roy J. Brickey, 78, Rt. 8, Milligan Road, died at 5?20 p.m. Sunday in Johnson City Memorial Hospital after a short illness.
He was a native of Scott County, VA and had live here since 1934.
Mr. Brickey was a son of the late John Emory and Annie Quillen Brickey. He was a retired employee of the Clinchfield Railroad, where he worked for 52 years.
He was a member of the Erwin Masonic Lodge and was a member of the Pinecrest Baptist Church. He was a charter member of the Brotherhood of Railway Clerks.
Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Meyland E. Brickey of the home; one daughter, Mrs. Jonnie Brickey Ruys, Nashville; three grandchildren.
