Arthur Simons Burdette, 1635 North Durham street, Baltimore, more recently residing with his sister, Mrs. Walter Cecil, Lime Kiln, died at Emergency Hospital Monday evening at 7:15 o'clock after an illness of three months, aged 77 years.
He was a son of the late Richard T. and Laura V. Watkins Burdette and was a retired employe of the Baltimore and Ohio Railroad.
Surviving are the following children: Mrs. Lawrence Main, Mrs. Norvell Miller, Mrs. Edward Abell, Mrs. Ellis Cordwell, Mrs. Everett Hands, Arthur S. Burdette, Jr. and Lee Burdette, all of Baltimore. Two brothers and three sisters, Harvey Burdette, Woodfield; Thomas Burdette, Montgomery county; Mrs. Walter Cecil, Lime Kiln; Mrs. Monroe Watkins, Lewisdale and Mrs. Turner Keith, Lewisdale and 19 grandchildren also survive.
The body rests at the funeral home, 106 East Church street where friends may call. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home, Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock. Interment in the Baptist cemetery, Cedar Grove.
