JOHN D. KIGAR DIED TUESDAY

Was in Failing Health Several Years From a Complication of Diseases.

John D. Kigar of two and a half miles northeast of Baring, 70 years old, died at 12 o'clock Tuesday of a complication of diseases following several years of failing health.

Funeral services were conducted by the Rev. S. E. Botsford of Edina at 2 o'clock yesterday afternoon in the Christian Church at Greensburg. Burial was in the Greensburg cemetery. The pallbearers were: Leo Marsh, Lee Howe, Walter Wilkerson, Harold Marsh, Corda Kigar and Ross Saulsbary.

The widow and seven sons and two daughters survive. The children are: Oscar, Earl, Otto, Lavon, Lewis, Joe and Raymond Kigar and Mrs. Maude Burrus of Baring and Mrs. Alice Saulsbary of Memphis. Besides these Mr. Kigar leaves three brothers, Lewis, Steven and Sylvania Kigar, and fourteen grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Mr. Kigar was born Dec. 14, 1858, in Hancock County, Illinois, and was a son of Jacob and Barbara Kigar. He came to Missouri when 17 years old. In 1880 he was married to Miss Minnie Frances Bryant. They were the parents of eleven children, two sons having preceded their father in death.
