Mrs. Lou Etta Hillis, 85, 800 South Hearrell, died at 8:15 a.m. today at the home after an illness of six months. She was born in Batesville, Arkansas and came to Neosho with her parents as a child. She lived in this vicinity nearly all of her life.

She was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church.

She is survived by two sons, Ray, Portland, Oregon, and Howard, Colton, California; two daughters, Mrs. Georgia Shunk and Mrs. Sally Jeffers, Neosho; two sisters, Mrs. Addie Wright, Neosho and Mrs. George Paul, Eldorado, Kansas; seven grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services for Mrs. Lou Etta Hillis, who died Friday morning, will be held at 2:40 p.m. Monday at the Calvary Baptist Church with Rev. Paul Patton and Rev. G.T. Kelly officiating.

Burial will be in the IOOF Cemetery in Neosho under the direction of Clark Funeral Home. The body will be taken to the church at noon Monday to lie in state until the funeral hour.

Pallbearers will be Russell Johnson, Edwin Early, Keith Brannick, Lester Branham, Price Branham and Wallace Bailery.
