Mrs. Mary Brinkmeyer nee Griefe, was born September 3, 1875 near Leslie, MO, and died on December 14, 1931 about 7 o'clock a.m. after a very brief illness.
About 35 years ago she was united in marriage to William Brinkmeyer. They made their home near Leslie until eleven years ago when they moved to Washington where they have resided since that time.
Four children were born to Mr. and Mrs. Brinkmeyer to bless their home, Raymond, Edwin, Eleanor and Harold, all of whom survive her except Edwin, who passed away August 6, 1923.
Funeral services were conducted in the First Methodist Church at 1:15 o'clock Thursday, December 17, 1931 by the Rev. Harold E. Camp and later in the Leslie M. E. Church by the Pastor Rev. Wm. Ratje. Interment was made in Leslie.
Mrs. Brinkmeyer was a member of the Leslie M. E. Church. She was a good Christian mother and will be sadly missed by her loved ones and friends who will always keep treasured in the golden urn of memory, her fine qualities and devotion to home to principles and to God.
