Elmer J. Miller, 70, of Indianapolis, a native of Rush County, died Thursday after several months illness. He was a retired railroad engineer, and formerly operated a grocery store in Rushville at Third and Buena Vista Avenue.
He is survived by the widow, Florence Brown Miller, two sons, Robert and Francis, two grandsons and a great-grandson, and several relatives in this locality, including nephews: Carl Dearinger of Arlington; Clell Dearinger and Chester Dearinger of Rushville; John, Joe and Frank Miller of Rush County, and nieces: Mrs. Bernice Carr of Homer, and Mrs. Deweese Beckner, New Castle.
Funeral services will be conducted at the Meyer and Abdon Funeral Home, 1509 Prospect Street, Indianapolis, at 10:30 a.m. Saturday.
Friends may call at the funeral home. The family residence is at 4103 South Carson Ave.
