Mrs. Merritt (Edith) Heaton, 87, Toulon, died today at Leisure Hills Health Center, Kewanee.
She was born Feb. 21, 1885, at West Jersey. She married Merritt Heaton on May 10, 1909, at Rock Island.
She was a member of Toulon United Methodist Church and its Dorcas Circle.
Surviving are her husband; two sons, Hayden Heaton, Toulon, and Rollin Heaton, Kewanee; two daughters, Mrs. Bernice Tankbersly, East Peoria, and Mrs. Lucille Pendarvis, Abingdon, 13 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.
