Andrew Keithline, Jr. passed away peacefully on June 14, 2009, in Redlands, CA. He was 84.
Andrew was born in Wichita, KS on June 17, 1924 to Andrew and Ruth Keithline. He graduated from Wellington High School in 1942, married Helen Jean Gilliland on Dec. 20, 1944, and served faithfully in the US Navy during World War II as a Machinist Mate Second Class on the USS Brooklyn. He then received his Bachelor of Science Degree from Fort Hays State University in 1950 and returned to the Navy during the Korean War aboard the USS Bausell.
Following his Honorable separation from the Navy in 1952, Mr. Keithline moved to Colton, CA., where he worked in electronic sales at Sliter's TV, Costco, and Radio Shack until 2001.
Survivors include his siblings Frances Palmer, Amarillo, TX, Patricia Simpson, Lancaster, PA, Emmalou Arensberg, Atchinson, KS, Herschel Keithline, Kansas City, KS, and Rosie Smith, Wellington, KS and numerous nieces and nephews as well as many dear friends.
Preceding him in death is his wife Helen Jean, his parents Andrew and Ruth and his brother James.
Arrangements are being handled by Aaron Cremation and Cremation Services in San Bernardino.
Services will be private at a date and time to be determined later. Andrew will be entered at Riverside National Cemetery.
