Survivors are: his wife of Effingham; a son, William Marion Altman, of Sumter; two daughters, Mrs. Elizabeth Diane Taylor of Florence and Mrs Ethel May Day of Pamplico; four brothers, Kirby Altman of Sumter, Dennis Altman of Morrisville, NC, John Altman of Coward, and Troy Altman of Scranton; and a sister, Mrs. Birdie Mae Rayburn of Charleston.
He was buried in Hicks Chapel Pentecostal Holiness Church Cemetery. Morris Funeral Home was in charge.
