JOHNSONVILLE -- Mr. William Marion Altman, 57, husband of Carolyn Marlowe Altman, entered into eternal rest Friday, May 28, 2004.
Funeral services will be at 4 p.m. Sunday in the New Hope Free Will Baptist Church of the Pentecostal Faith with burial following in the church cemetery directed by Morris Funeral Home of Hemingway.
Mr. Altman was born in Scranton, a son of the late Tommy and Essie Curry Altman. He was a retired field supervisor for Wilson Tree Company. He was an active member of New Hope Free Will Baptist Church of the Pentecostal Faith where he faithfully served as senior deacon, Sunday School Teacher, chairman of the Youth Committee, choir member, and secretary of the Men's Fellowship.
Survivors include his wife of the home, Carolyn Marlowe Altman; his sons, Stephen Marion (Johanna) Altman and Tracy Lynn Altman, both of Johnsonville; his grandson, William Matthew Altman; his sisters, Mrs. Gene (Liz) Taylor of Florence and Mrs. John William (Ethel Mae) Lee of Coward; and a number of nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sister, Earline Altman.
