The Rev. Lorin Short of Nampa will officiate, assisted by the Rev. Walter Trumbo, pastor of the Nampa First Assembly of God Church. Interment will follow in the Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Ackerman was born April 16, 1901, at Shellrock, Iowa, to Albert and Anna Ackerman. At a young age he moved to Mt. Grove, Mo., with his family where he was reared and educated.
He married Pearl Mae Davis on Oct. 2, 1922, at Mt. Grove, Mo. He farmed and was in construction. He also worked for the Kraft Cheese Company for several years.
In 1947 they came to Nampa and he went to work for the Birdseye Plant. He retired in 1966 and they had resided in Nampa since. Mr. Ackerman was a member of the Nampa First Assembly of God Church.
He is survived by his wife, three sons, Ackerman, Arlington, one brother, six grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by one son, three brothers, two sisters and one great-grandson.
