Funeral services for Pearl Mae Ackerman, 89, of Nampa, who died Sunday, February 18, 1990, at a Nampa care center, will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 22, at the Alsip Funeral Chapel, Nampa. The Rev. Duane Palser of the Nampa First Assembly of God Church will officiate with the Rev. Lorin Short of the Klamath Falls, (Oregon) First Assembly of God Church, assisting. Interment will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Caldwell.

Mrs. Ackerman was born June 11, 1900, in Mt. Grove, Mo., to James and Molly Hill Davis. She was reared and educated in Mt. Grove. She married Clarence S. Ackerman Oct. 22, 1922, in Mt. Grove. They farmed in Missouri until 1947 when they moved to Nampa. Pearl had worked as a homemaker for most of her life but also worked for a few years as a lineworker at the Birdseye food plant. Clarence died on Oct. 20, 1984.

She was a member of the Nampa First Assembly of God church.

She is survived by three sons and daughters-in-law, Clarence "Gene" and Dolly Ackerman, Lonnie and Alice Ackerman, all of Nampa, and Duain and Shirley Ackerman of Caldwell; a brother, Ervin Davis of Mt. Grove; 6 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews, including John and Ella Johnson of Nampa.

Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Charlene; [see note below] a great-grandson, David Ackerman; a brother, Raymond Davis; and a sister, Violet Gartin.

Friends may call at the Alsip Funeral Chapel until 9 p.m. on Wednesday.

Memorials may be made to the Holly Care Center, 472 Caldwell Blvd., Nampa, Idaho 83651; or flowers may be sent.
