She was the daughter of James Harris Couch and Alice Webb. Josie met William Tanner in McMinnville, TX. William was born (possibly 1828) and raised in McMinnville, TN and he married Josephine Couch on June 17, 1886. William is buried in McMinnville without a headstone. Jose moved to Texas.
