The body of Adolph Svoboda, who passed away at his home in Norfolk, Sunday morning, arrived here Tuesday. Funeral services were held at the home of his son, Joseph, west of town. Interment was made in the Jelen cemetery.

Mr. Svoboda was 72 years old. He had lived on the farm on which he homesteaded, until a few years ago, when he moved to Norfolk, leaving his son, Joseph, on the farm.

Some time ago, his health began to fail and he entered a hospital. An apparent improvement was noticed, so he left the hospital. It was of a short duration. He suffered a breakdown last Saturday, which caused his death the following day.

Mrs. Svoboda preceded him in death about twelve years ago. He is survived by five sons and four daughters: Louis of Illinois, Adolph of Kentucky, John of Canada, James of California, Joe of Verdigre, Mrs. Mary _____ of Missouri, Mrs. Lena Sukup of Creighton, Mrs. Anna Robek of Pierce and Miss Hattie Svoboda of Illinois. One son, Vincent, passed away about fourteen years ago.

Accompanying the body from Norfolk were a friend and two sons-in-law.

The Citizen joins with the whole community in extending sympathy to the mourning ones in their hour of bereavement.
