BOONEVILLE - Hassell Mae Stephens Floyd, 78, died Tuesday, July 16, 2002, at the Magnolia Regional Health Center in Corinth. She was born Feb. 24, 1924, in Itawamba County to Daniel Walter Stephens and Lucille Webb Stephens. She was a homemaker and a Baptist. She enjoyed cooking and going to auto races.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Fairview Church of God with Bro. Marshall Tennison officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery. Booneville Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Survivors include a daughter, Faye Holland and her husband, Jimmy, of Rienzi; four sons, Jerry Stephens and his wife, Sharon, of Las Vegas, Nev., Roy Floyd and his wife, Loria, of Booneville, Wayne Floyd and his wife, Sherry, of Baldwyn, and Ray Floyd and his wife, Betty, of Booneville; four brothers, Quinta Stephens of Tampa, Fla., Jack Stephens and his wife, Floydean, of Omega, Ga., Charles Stephens and his wife, Attlee, of Omega, Ga., and Ken Stephens and his wife, Auria, of Verona; three sisters, Barbara Windham and her husband, Paul, of Kirkville, Shirley Collum of Tupelo and Vivian George of Shannon; nine grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be members of the Rienzi-Alcorn County Rescue Squad.

Visitation will continue from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home. The body will lie in state at the church one hour before services.
