Ben Miller, 90, of Martinsville, died Thursday, Feb. 2, at 11:30 p.m. at the Paris hospital.

He was born March 25, 1893 in West Union, the son of Henry and Mattie Walker Miller. He married Frances V. Carpenter in 1912 and she survives.

Also surviving are four sons, Wayne Miller of Walkerton, Ind., Dean Miler of Orlando, Fla., Delmar Miller of Tallahassee, Fla, and Dale Miller of Martinsville; five daughters, Dorothy Shotts of Marshall, Margaret Hutchings of Jamestown, Ind., Martha Smith of Walkerton, Ind. and Sylvia Watson of Indianapolis; one brother, Ted of Annapolis; two sisters, Florence Carpenter of Martinsville and Nellie Gard of Martinsville; 26 grand-children; 30 great-grandchildren; and 4 great-great-grandchildren.

He was a deacon of the Martinsville Baptist Church.

Funeral services will be Sunday at 3:30 p.m. at the Greenwell Funeral Home in Martinsville with Dean Brown officiating. Burial will be in the Ridgelawn Cemetery. Visitation is after 4 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
