CHAPPEL.

The death of Martha W. Chappel, widow of the late Abner Chappel occurred at the family home on Center street in this village Tuesday evening at 6:30 o'clock, at the age of 81 years. She was born in New York City, November 1st, 1831, the daughter of Peter and Phoebe Booth. In 1860 she was united in marriage to Mr. Abner Chappel of Perry. About 21 years ago the family moved to Warasw where they have since resided and where Mr. Chappel died seven years ago.

One son J. Edward Chappel of Warsaw survives. She also leaves one brother James E. Booth of Rochester and one sister Clara E. Booth of Cortland, N. Y.

Funeral services were held at the late home this afternoon at one o'clock. Dr. George H. Burgess officiating and the burial will take place in the family lot in the Perry Center cemetery.
