Louis L. Dixon, born February 25, 1930, in Senatobia, MS, went home to be with the Lord January 20, 2011. He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Laura (nee Thomas) Dixon; daughter, Bonnie Dixon of Joliet, IL; son, Benny (Linda) Dixon of Joliet, IL; three granddaughters, Elaine Brewer of Oswego,IL, Tomi (Jaison) Lancaster of Darien, IL, and Tracy (John) Hoyt of Joliet, IL; seven great-grandchildren, Kendyll Kagay, Britani Hoyt, Gina Hoyt, Abigail Brewer, Keaton Lancaster, Avery Brewer, and Alden Brewer. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Elaine Dixon and a grandson, Robert Lee Dixon.
Retired from Chicago Transit Authority with 30 years of service. He moved from Mississippi to Chicago in 1955, to Bolingbrook in 1962, and after retirement, returned to Mississippi until 2007 when he returned to Joliet. Memorials in his name to the wishes of the family would be appreciated.
