She was the daughter of Lewis and Dubbie Thomas.
Laura was the Payroll Manager for Sears Roebuck & Co. as well as for Wallace Business Forms.
Her real passion was owning and operating Candy Cane Boutique, a dog grooming and boarding facility. She was a member of the Senatobia Church of Christ.
Laura was a 'one of a kind'. She learned at an early age, being the fifth child of nine children, how to work hard for herself and her family.
She was an amazing, kind-hearted, loving woman; She was a gifted seamstress; She loved to cook, can fruits and vegetables for her family to enjoy all year long. She was a good Christian woman and above all she loved her family. She will be missed by all who knew her.
Laura is survived by her daughter, Bonnie Dixon; her son, Benny (Linda) Dixon; her grandchildren, Elaine Renee (Shannon) Brewer, Tomi Nora (Jaison) Lancaster and Tracy Lee (John) Hoyt; her great grandchildren, Kendyll Elaine Kagay, Britani Kayla Hoyt, Gina Kaitlyn Hoyt, Abigail Louise Brewer, Keaton Marie Lancaster, Avery Brooks Brewer and Alden Thomas Brewer; also her devoted caregiver, Kelle Smith.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Louis L. Dixon, her daughter, Elaine Dixon, her grandson, Bobby Lee Dixon (1986), her parents, Louis and Dubbie Thomas; and her 6 brothers and 2 sisters.
