Norman L. Sparkman

Funeral for Norman L. Sparkman, 75, of Route 4 Decatur will be Monday at 1 p.m. at Brown Service Funeral Home with the Rev. Charlie Brown and the Rev. Bobby Ray Halbrooks officiating.

Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends tonight from 6 to 9 at the funeral home.

Mr. Sparkman died Saturday at his residence. He was a member of the Rising Sun Lodge No. 29 F&AM of Alabama for 35 years. He was a member of the Priceville United Methodist Church for 30 years, was a maintenance supervisor at Wolverine Tube for 31 years and an IAM member for 45 years.

He is survived by his wife, Mable Sparkman; one son, Arlon Sparkman of Decatur; one sister, Clara Wynn of Oak Ridge; two brothers, Anderson Sparkman of Oak Ridge, and Franklin Sparkman of Warrior; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be David Betha, W.D. Tucker, Joe Sharp, Hal Morris, John Tirpack and Sherman Frederick.
