Regar -- the 27th inst., in this city, Solomon Regar, Sen., aged 58 years, 7 months and 22 days. The relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend his funeral from his late residence, South Eighth street, on Wednesday, Aug. 1st at 12 o'clock noon. Services at the house. Interment at Charles Evans Cemetery.
Dearest father and husband thou hast left us,
Here thy loss we deeply feel;
But 'tis God who has bereft us'
He can all our sorrows heal.
Oh, life will be so dark without
The sunshine of thy face
Thou hast left us and we miss thee,
Sadly miss thee, father and husband dear.
Day after day we saw him fade,
And gently pine away;
Yet often in our hearts we prayed
That he might with us longer stay.
