Burial will follow in the Ashwood Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p. m. Sunday at the Hancock-Elmore-Hill Funeral Home and other times at the home, 5113 Sumter Hwy. in the Ashwood Community. Surviving are his son, John P. Privette of Sumter; daughter, Linda Truett of Sumter; sisters, Betty Barrett of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Elizabeth Malerba of Connecticut; brothers, G. W. Privette of Hartsville, Junius Privette of North Carolina; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren.
