Helen Ellinger, 86, formerly of 628 W. Memorial Drive, died Wednesday in Woodland Nursing Home.
She was the widow of William Ellinger, who died in 1974. She was born in Muncie, attended city schools and lived her life in this community. Mrs. Ellinger was employed at Durham Manufacturing Co. before retiring. She was a member of First Church of the Nazarene.
Surviving are a daughter, Norma (Mrs. Lewis) Gregory, Muncie; a grandson, Lewis J. Gregory, Greenwood; three granddaughters, Linda S. Walsh, Nila Pope, and Denise Cumings, all of Muncie; seven great-grandchildren; two nieces and two nephews.
Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday in Meeks Mortuary, with Rev. Wilmer Watson, pastor of First Church of the Nazarene, officiating. Interment will be in Elm Ridge Cemetery. Calling at the mortuary is 5-7 p.m. today or before services Friday.
