Funeral services for Chant Peter Shinkle, 82, of 1525 Sampson Avenue, who died late Thursday night at Ball Hospital, will be conducted at 2:30 o'clock Saturday afternoon at the Meeks Mortuary. Burial will be in Beech Grove Cemetery.

Mr. Shinkle was born in St. Louis and had been a resident of Muncie for 50 years. In his early days he was an engineer on a Mississippi River boat.

Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. William Ellinger and Mrs. Elmer Duke, both of Muncie; seven grandchildren; and one great-grandchildren.

Friends may call at the mortuary.
