"Mrs. Jewett was born Dec. 29, 1883, in Red Bluff and spent her childhood near Red Bluff where her family owned a ranch. Following her marriage to Claude Jewett, the family moved to Chico and made their home here for many years.
"Other survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Daphne Duane, of Marysville; two grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Josephine Schubert of Chico, and Mrs. Mardelle Baker of Sacramento, and a brother, Frank Harris of Chico.
"Funeral services will be conducted Friday at 2 p.m. and interment will be in Chico Cemetery."
