The funeral of Attorney John J. Alexaitis, Panama Canal Zone, formerly of Wilkes-Barre, and a frequent visitor to Jessup, will be held be held from the Pirhalla Funeral Home, Dolph Street, with a solemn high mass of requiem in Holy Trinity Lithuanian Church. Burial was in St. Mary's Cemetery, Hanover Township, where Rev. Father Puskar pronounced benediction. The body was accompanied to this city from Panama by his brother, C.J. Genis; a sister-in-law, Mrs. Frances Alexaitis, and her two daughters, Lucy and Mary Frances Alexaitis.
Attorney Alexaitis died march 10 in the Panama Canal Zone where he had resided for the past 18 years. He was employed by the Federal Government. He was a graduate of Dickinson Law School, Carlisle, and a World War I veteran. He was a brother-in-law of the late Joseph M. Hiznay, Jessup and Wilkes-Barre.
Surviving are a sister, Mrs. Anna L. Hiznay, Fairlawn, NJ; two brothers: Dr. Francis L. Alexaitis and Clement J. Genis, both of the Panama Canal Zone, and several nieces and nephews in Jessup.
