Died
J. P. Cerveny departed for Ada, Kans., Sunday, in response to a telegram stating that his mother was seriously ill but did not arrive there until after her demise. She passed away Sunday morning, March 14, at 10 a.m. Pneumonia was the cause of her death. Mrs. Mary Cerveny was 61 years of age and in the best of health a few weeks previous to her death.

The funeral was held at Odell, Neb. this afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Bohemian Catholic church and the remains laid at rest beside those of her parents in the Odell cemetery.

The deceased was the mother of 7 sons and 2 daughters, who with their father mourn deeply the loss of their beloved mother. Although six of the sons are living in as many states all the children were present at the funeral.

The deceased passed away on the old homestead, three miles from Ada, on which she had lived for thirty years. She was a great lover of poultry and at the time of her death had over a thousand fowls on their enormous farm of 800 acres.

To the relatives the News joins with friend in extending condolence and assure them of our sorrow in the hour of their bereavement.
