DECATUR EVENING HERALD 2/17/1929

William Irwin Wagenseller, younger son of Mr. and Mrs. George Wagenseller, 233 W.Cerro Gordo street died of Influenza and acute appendicitis at the Decatur and Macon county hospital Thursday morning at 5:50 oclock following an illness of three weeks.

William was born March 22, 1911 and would have been a member of this years class from the high school had not the strain of unusual physical growth necessitated giving up school work for a time. He had attended the YMCA summer training camp for five successive years and held the Junior Life Saving medal from that organization. He was devoted to his home and always to be found there except when busy or on an occasional hike with his gun. An omnivorous reader, he was one of the best informed young men in the city in radio, aviation and other subjects of special interest.

He leaves his parents, a brother Samuel M. of Rochester,N. Y. and sister Katherine of Decatur. Arrangements are incomplete.
