Mr. Gunter once owned most of the land between WV Route 3 and the bottom of the "hill" where the railroad crosses Wickham Road. He specifically gave the land where he was to be buried to Mount Tabor Baptist Church to be used for a cemetery. That land is Mount Tabor Cemetery.
His remaining land he divided up in his will, leaving a portion to each of his children.
